Chad maintained a 10th place position until the 45th lap when a hose clamp broke on the water pump for a 15 minuit pit stop, and dropping the Heyser Cycle Honda CBR600RR out of certain top 10 finish, as the pack of riders he was running with finished 7th, 8th, and 9th.
